Jami and Courtney tryout for the ski team

Today we woke up to a beautiful Reno sunrise. After a lazy morning we took a quick drive up the hill to Mt. Rose ski resort. Jami and Courtney B-lined it to ski school to get their gear and lift tickets. Robbie and Mike headed up the hill while Waylon stayed back to snap some photos of the girls at ski school. After lunch we all met up to ski and then quickly got separated and continued to ski in groups of two or three. Nevertheless, the ski Gods brought us together for a few full group runs to finish off the day. WEST COAST HOLLER!!!!!!!!!

Lazy Day in Beautifultown - 12/29

Took an easy day with the youngins at the house. Waylon went to the doctors to get some medicine for his sinus infection and is now now on the mend. Played a riprorious game of Disney Scene It and later landed hard in the hot tub.

We went night snowboarding at Boreal in Truckee, California last night. It was my first time riding at night and it was awesome.

The snow was nice and it wasn't too cold. It was a nice couple of runs thy had open. I think it was a green a couple blues and a black. The black was actually the terrain park and half-pipe. It was the first time I rode a half-pipe and I never realized how steep, fast and icy half-pipes were!

Everybody had a good time, except one of Chelsey's friend's snowboard was stolen. That's Cali for ya.

Reno!!

Landed in Reno this morning at about eleven. Mike and Chelsey were right there to pick us up. Our luggage was waiting for us at the Southwest office. No problems.

Piled into the mini-van and headed straight to beer. The Great Basin Brewery was friggin' rad. Excellent beers. Robbie and I both drank most of a sampler and the girls shared one. The highlight was the Jalapeno Beer.

Jumped back in the van and rolled to Mike and Chelsey's house. They've set us up in rooms all our own, it is great!

We night ride at 4:30... I have a buzz. omg.

So holy crap...

We were supposed to fly out last night but our flight was delayed four hours. By the time they flew a different plane in from Dallas, we were super annoyed, very tired and not interested in sleeping in an airport before connecting to Reno.

We had them switch our tickets to an early flight today. We all went home, passed out for a couple hours, and caught the 6:50 a.m. flight to Reno, connecting through Phoenix.

All went well...

Packing up!

Jami and I are getting packed and ready for our trip. We fly out at 7:30 p.m. Austin time and arrive in Reno around midnight, their time. We are so excited! Robbie will be here any minute and Courtney is getting ready at her house.

I talked to Chelsey this afternoon and she's got booze waiting for us on arrival. w00t!!
